Use Strong Passwords To Avoid IPv4 Address Blacklisting

It is important to use strong passwords to secure your email framework. Make sure to strengthen your password using a combination of lower case letters, special characters, upper case letters, and numbers. This can make your passwords very strong and can prevent hackers and spammers from cracking the passwords.

Use SMTP Authentication

SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol and can add an extension that can secure your mailings. This authentication allows the user to let the server know that the user has permission to transfer email messages via the server. It is not possible for any user to send email messages through any mail server that they choose. Mail servers will only let legitimate users send email messages and so using SMTP authentication will let you secure your email transfer and thereby, your IP address.

IP Shield Configuration

To accept email messages from authorized sources in the internal domain of the user, the user has to customize the IP Shield. Configuring the IP Shield can help secure the email transfers in the internal domain of the user and hence help prevent the IPv4 address blacklisting.

Enable SSL To Avoid IPv4 Address Blacklisting

SSL lets the users encode the link between the email client and the server. Without enabling SSL, your website will be insecure and can fall prey to malware attacks from hackers and spammers. SSL certificates are important to ensure the security of your website and web browsers will mark your website insecure if your site does not have SSL enabled.

Configure Firewall

You need to use a firewall to detect if any computer connected to your network is relaying email messages. Set up the firewall and keep a tab on all the outbound activities on port 25 across all the computers connected to your network.

Use Static IP

Make sure that your mail server is using a Static IP address instead of a dynamic address. If you are using a dynamic IP, the IP address will change every time there is a power outage. However, your earlier IP address will still reflect on the DNS records. Therefore, it is significant that you use the static IP address.
